Erica has a passion for health care law and helping health care providers and practices. She is the owner of an urgent care and primary care clinic in Southwest Florida. She is also married to a physician. Erica understands all too well the legal and administrative challenges that providers and practices face daily. Her experience in health care administration allows her to appreciate the licensing, credentialing, contracting, billing, and regulatory issues from the provider and practice management viewpoint. As a small practice owner herself, Erica strives to help alleviate the administrative and regulatory burdens that hinder small practices and consume providers’ time.
Erica is a member of the firm’s licensing and health care compliance team. She is dedicated to helping providers with licensing, credentialing, privileges, and employment matters. She is also dedicated to helping practices with contracting, billing, regulatory compliance, and business and employment matters.
Erica has been with the firm since 2006. Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Erica worked as the firm’s administrator in Michigan. In 2010, Erica moved to Florida to open the firm’s first Florida office. Like all of the firm’s attorneys, Erica is no stranger to hard work. While in law school full-time, Erica continued to help grow the firm and was instrumental in opening two additional offices. After graduation, Erica started her health care clinic while studying for the Bar exam. Today, she serves as the firm’s chief operations officer and continues to move the firm into new markets.
Erica obtained her juris doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in Gulf Port, Florida. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Arts London, in London, England.
Erica grew up in England, Germany, and the United States. Erica is an avid runner. She has completed several marathons and half-marathons, including Chicago, Marine Corps, and Bayshore marathons. Erica spends her vacation time in Haiti on dental and medical missions through the Lutheran Church. Erica is the proud mother of a little boy named Lincoln.
