Misdemeanor Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) charge
Benefit of Using Chapman Law Group:
Although the client was charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and had a blood test result showing a BAC of 0.163, Chapman Law Group (CLG) requested and reviewed arrest-related documents, audio and video recordings, and evidence from the blood testing. CLG was able to find defenses to some of the evidence against the client and brought them to the attention of the prosecution. Ultimately, this resulted in the prosecution allowing client to plead guilty to Disturbing the Peace and accepting responsibility for a careless driving civil infraction. The client served no additional time in jail beyond the time spent in custody at the time of arrest, and the client was not sentenced to any term of probation but was only sentenced to attend a one-day course and pay fines and costs. It was important to the client as a CRNA that the client was not convicted of an alcohol-related offense.
